Gateway to Understanding: The arts are a gateway to understanding ourselves from the inside out….
Learning Objectives:
- Learn to use expressive arts as a form of self-expression, self-understanding, and communication.
- Take charge of your own emotional reactions.
- Resolve stress producing conflict between thoughts and feelings, saying or doing one thing and feeling another. Your body signals you in the form of tension, irriitation, restlessness and moodiness to let you know something is wrong. When you learn how to recognize this conflict you begin to make the choices in your life that are truly right for you.
- Introduce integration and balance to your world.
- Unblock emotions and creativity by taping into your vast internal knowledge and potential resulting in greater authenticity, connection and well being.
Specific topics and techniques will vary depending on the specific objective of each group. See EVENTS for sessions open to the public. Examples include:
- Transforming our Negative Emotions
- Touch Drawings to peel away the hidden layers within
- Send healing energy to yourself and the ones you love
- Befriending your inner critic on the path to wellness
- Putting you body at ease versus dis-ease
- Soul Collages™ to heal your emotional wounds
Timeframe & Materials:
- This three-session program is designed for 10 participants. Sessions are held one week apart and each session lasts two hours.
